Qaneh Bosem and the Shroom
The use of entheogens in religious history, and surprisingly, though veiled to some, how these enthoeogens have played a part in religions throughout history.
The following information should not be misconstrued by the reader as supporting the use of drugs - a decision that should only be made by an adult within the constraints of the law - no matter how onerous.
The Book of Enoch
Chapter 7
v.10
"Then they took wives, each choosing for himself; whom they began to approach, and with whom they cohabited; teaching them sorcery, incantations, and the dividing of roots and trees."
Qaneh Bosem

Interestingly, few Bible students have realized that Qaneh Bosem (cannabis) is the 'essential ingredient' in the Holy Anointing Oil, a recipe Yah gave Moshe (Moses) as an integral theme for worship in Exodus.
Cannabis linked to Biblical healing
This means Yah has set cannabis apart as pure and holy in His eyes.
If you have trouble accepting this statement read the following scripture, then argue it with Yah.
Exo 30:23 Take thou also unto thee principal spices, of pure myrrh five hundred shekels, and of sweet cinnamon half so much, even two hundred and fifty shekels, and of sweet calamus* two hundred and fifty shekels, And of cassia five hundred shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, and of oil olive an hin: And thou shalt make it an oil of holy ointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it shall be an holy anointing oil.

* calamus H7070 is qânâh bosem (cannabis)
Examine the ingredients. All of them are unique and very strong. Now why would Yah put such a boring plant like the calamus plant (and what is it anyway?) which has no aromatic or entheogenic properties, in with the other plants that produce essences that are so powerful?
The KJV bible has it wrongly translated, as they did most scripture at the instruction of the homosexual King - James. And this was during a time of intense puritanism - the spirit that first settled the U.S.A.

Kings love to exercise mind control over their subjects, even as they do so today.
In the "manner of the apothecary" means 250 shekels of pure cannabis essential oil!
Now, once the priest is anointed with the 'Holy Oil' by having it poured on his head liberally until it is running down his beard - that priest becomes truly 'high' on Yah's idea!
You can't O.D. on pure cannabis, you can only go to sleep. No one has ever died using just cannabis, only if they mix it with other drugs and drink.
Shroom

Amanita Muscaria is with out doubt the world's oldest entheogen with historical/religious accounts dating back well over 6000 years.

More here about Christmas

Can you see it?
If you were to read the Dead Sea Scrolls in the original language of Hebrew Aramaic, you would find that the mushroom is also mentioned as the 'bolt' or 'key' to the kingdom Yahshua spoke about when deriding the priests of his day.
Luk 11:52 Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key* of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.
An ancient key was like a nail or bolt turned at a right angle to insert into a hole in the door and lift the latch. This was a play on words, which he always did when speaking in riddles and parables to reveal hidden truths, as the young mushroom looks exactly like a bolt or key.
Ever wondered why all the priest of both Judaic and Islamic traditions wear mushroom like head turbans? Now you know.
Does the term 'Shaman' have anything to do with the Magic Mushroom?
Absolutely!

Regarding the term 'Shaman' in an historical and anthropological context. From The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross by John Allegro (the original lead on the translation of the Dead Sea Scrolls).
"Both the Semitic and the Greek words for 'Christ', the 'anointed or smeared one', came from the Sumerian terms for semen or resinous sap, MASh and Skem. Used as descriptive titles in that language, they appear as a 'MASh - man', exorcist, that is, the priest who drives away demons, and as a 'ShEM - man', a compounder of perfumes, the equivalent of the Old Testament mixer of the holy anointing oils."
The word 'mushroom' comes from the root Sumerian word MASh, the 'h' is added later as the languages developed because that was how the word was spoken. Mash is synonymous with the Sumerian word SKEM, both meaning the Mash-man or Sham-man. Mash-man in the Hebrew language is Mashiach or Messiah, and Sham-man, as we have already discovered, in today's language is Shaman or Priest. Both mean exactly the same thing - an apothecary or maker of the anointing oil, and an exorcist.

Early Christian Mosaic of the Sacred Mushroom as the Tree of Life - or is it the Fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil?

What will these new discoveries reveal?
Will they contradict the Roman Theology or version of Christianity?
Wikipedia: "Biblical scholar John Marco Allegro controversially proposed that the Roman Theology was derived from a sex and psychedelic mushroom cult in his 1970 book The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross",[110]

Wikipedia: "According to Torah [36] cannabis was an ingredient in the Holy anointing oil mentioned in various sacred Hebrew texts. The herb of interest is most commonly known as kaneh-bosem (קְנֵה-בֹשֶׂם [37]) which is mentioned several times in the Old Testament (See: Ki Tissa [Exodus 30:22-33] a secret priesthood document, and in King Solomon's Garden in SOS chapter 7) as a bartering material, incense, and an ingredient in Holy anointing oil used by the high priest on kings and prophets, priests and other ministers of the temple."

Wikipedia: "According to one Arab legend, Haydar, the Persian founder of the religious order of Sufi, came across the cannabis plant while wandering in the Persian mountains. Usually a reserved and silent man, when he returned to his monastery after eating some cannabis leaves, his disciples were amazed at how talkative and animated (full of spirit) he seemed. After cajoling Haydar into telling them what he had done to make him feel so happy, his disciples went out into the mountains and tried the cannabis for themselves. So it was, according to the legend, the Sufis came to know the pleasures of hashish." [43]
